Three bodies and four survivors who needed medical attention were discovered in a Panga boat that took to land near San Diego on Monday morning, according to the United States Coast Guard and the Fire Department of Encinitas.
Nine people are not taken into account, said the Coast Guard.

The boat was washed on a beach in Del Mar, about 20 miles north of San Diego. Several local agencies are helping with the search, authorities said.
“This was an incident of massive victims,” said Jorge Sánchez, chief of Firefighters of Encinitas.

“We have aerial resources that are sweeping lateral, north and south of the beach … we have lifeguards in the water in boats and water motorcycles, and we also have several resources walking along the beach, making sure that no one gets lost,” he said.
